Bringing the excitement of performance art to students enrolled in the Estes Park School District and beyond is central to the Fine Arts Guild of the Rockies fulfilling its promise to celebrate the arts at all levels of life. Adults also have the opportunity to further their performance skills during periodic workshops conducted each year.
Mini Theatre Camps
Starting in 2025, the Estes Park School district modified the school calendar to include several Monday’s off. We have started offering a series of Mini Theater Camps to fill some of these days with fun and learning experiences. Many different individuals from our community collaborate to help create this wonderful opportunity!
The dates we are offering for the 2026-27 school year are Mondays, September 14th, December 7th, February 1st, March 1st, April 5th, and May 3rd. Camp last from 8:00am until 3:30pm at Estes Park High School Auditorium, and is $25 per student.

Summer Youth Theater Camps
Our annual Summer Theatre Camps are one of the highlights of the year! Each June, students spend two exciting weeks rehearsing with directors and fellow performers to put together a junior musical production. Camps are typically divided by grade level, with separate productions for elementary-aged students and middle/high school students.
Our productions are no-cut, meaning every student who auditions is cast in the show. During auditions, students can share the types of roles they're interested in, as well as their comfort level with solo singing and speaking parts, allowing directors to find the best fit for everyone.
Camp generally runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for two weeks, followed by two performances on the final weekend (one Saturday evening and one Sunday afternoon). Students are expected to attend all rehearsals and both performances. A cast party is typically held after the final performance to celebrate everyone's hard work.
Tuition varies slightly from year to year and helps cover the cost of producing the show. Tuition costs for the 2027 Season are: $300 for the Production (Cast) and $200 for Technical Camp. There is a 10% Discount for multiple campers from the same household. Scholarships are available for qualifying families. Students may occasionally be asked to provide basic costume pieces they already own or can easily obtain, as well as their own basic stage makeup.
Additional details—including audition requirements, registration, camp dates, tuition, and scholarship information—are announced each spring when the upcoming summer productions are revealed.
Scholarship Opportunities
Art is not perfected in a vacuum. That’s just one of the reasons the Fine Arts Guild of the Rockies supports young adults from the community who want to pursue their arts interests by annually awarding scholarships for higher education.
Coordinated through Estes Park High School and facilitated through the Education Foundation, each year a graduating senior interested in furthering their education in the arts - visual, performing, or any tangential type of art - is eligible for a $2,000 higher education award from the Fine Arts Guild of the Rockies. Eligible recipients are those who are pursuing a degree in English Arts/Journalism, interior design, graphic design, character development for graphics used in video games, film production, theater, visual arts, or music. Any education degree associated with similar fields are appropriate for consideration as well.
The Guild also administers a $2,000 named award, the Lloyd Scott Memorial Scholarship that is awarded to any student pursuing a degree in music or any tangential type of music degree such as music education, music engineering, and music recording.
Scholarship applications are collected through Estes Park High School via the Online Scholarship Portal.
