Casting Call - A Christmas Carol
Ever wanted to try acting in a play? The Fine Arts Guild is holding auditions for A Christmas Carol, Sunday, October 11, 1-4 pm and Monday, October 12, 6-8 pm at the Art Center.
The script by James Hutchison names thirty-nine characters for adults and youth. By double, triple and even quadruple casting, those thirty nine characters can be played by 6 men and 4 women, or can be cast among more actors if available. Only the actor playing Ebenezer Scrooge plays just one part. Some parts are very small in terms of lines to be memorized, but all characters are essential to tell the story, so a perfect opportunity to try something new!
Rehearsals will begin October 19, and will be held M-Th, 2-4 times weekly. A schedule can be established when actors’ availability is known, but until the play is rehearsed in total, actors would only be called when required for rehearsal of specific scenes, or acts.
Auditions will consists of cold reading from the script individually and in small groups. It is not necessary to come with a prepared monologue. Actors should also be prepared to identify conflicts beginning the week of October 19, through December 3.
Performances will be December 4 & 5, at 7 pm and December 6 at 2 pm.

We would also like 4 – 6 carolers who would sing well-known Christmas Carols A cappella.
2027 Season TBD
If you are interested in performing in any of the Guild’s productions in the future, please email us with your resume, headshot, and interests (straight plays, musicals, reader’s theater, or all the above), we often cast by invitation, word of mouth, or by interest due to challenges in offering open auditions.
